You'll find every moment spent in Goa is worth it. Picture yourself soaking up the sun on a beautiful beach while enjoying thrilling water sports on the pristine shores of Baga or Palolem Beach, exploring vibrant coral reefs during a snorkeling adventure in crystal clear waters, and relaxing on soft golden sand as the sun sets over the Arabian Sea; visiting the historic 16th-century basilicas and churches in Old Goa, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and then experiencing even more of the state's charm with coastal exploration and island hopping adventures. You could then explore the lush spice plantations at Ponda, discovering exotic aromas and traditional cultivation methods, take a scenic houseboat journey through the serene backwaters, or even indulge in one of Goa's rejuvenating Ayurvedic wellness retreats if you wanted to. We have developed a number of special tour packages from Pune that go beyond the average Goa experience and give you access to places outside of the crowded tourist spots (e.g. the hidden coves of Arambol Island and untouched stretches of Agonda Beach β these are must-haves!). You will have an opportunity to discover Portuguese heritage in charming villages, explore the vibrant night bazaars and local spice markets in Panaji, trek through Western Ghats trails on lesser-known routes, and experience the magic of being in a tropical coastal paradise. And finally, you will have the option of crafting an experience that suits everyone (family, couple, adventure seekers, or solo travelers), from peaceful heritage walks to exhilarating beach activities and cultural immersions. At roughly 100 kilometers long, Goa has a coastline of soft golden beaches with palm trees lining the shore and breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea. Patnem Beach is perfect for those who want to relax, while Baga Beach has lots of energy for those looking for fun in the water.
Goa is steeped in history with centuries of Portuguese colonialism having influenced the unique culture of this area and established the many beautiful buildings that can still be found. There are numerous whitewashed churches, colorful colonial buildings, and quaint streets filled with fascinating historical stories that reflect an interesting blend of Indian customs.
Nighttime in Goa is alive with action! There are many nightclubs, beach shacks with live music, and casinos that create an exciting vibrancy in the evenings. No matter what type of nightlife you are interested in whether it is a laid-back beach party or a more energetic dance venue, you will always find something to do in Goa.
Take a cruise through lush spice plantations that grow an abundance of cardamom, cinnamon, and black pepper and be amazed at how alive the mangrove forests are on your backwater cruise throughout Goa, where you will be able to find peace and tranquility in nature away from the cities.
Goa is a thrill-seeker's dream with a variety of water sports activities such as parasailing, surfing, kayaking, and boat tours to watch dolphins. The clear waters off the coast of Goa along with experienced instructors make it ideal for anyone to try these adrenaline-rushing activities regardless of skill level or experience.
Indulge in Goan specialties like fish curry, prawn balchΓ£o, and vindaloo that blend Portuguese, Indian, and coastal influences. Beachside shacks serve fresh seafood with toes in the sand, creating memorable dining experiences that capture Goa's laid-back lifestyle perfectly.
Visit Goa during the months of October to March because the climate is perfect during these months. There will be warm, sunny days, cool evenings, and no rain. All of these factors make it the ideal time to go to the beach, take part in water sports, and visit places in Goa.
During the monsoon season, Goa looks green with very few tourists visiting the state, and most of the time, travel costs are lower than during the high tourist season. Afternoon rain showers may occur, but mornings and evenings are still nice enough to explore cathedrals, heritage sites, and hotels for lower-priced visiting options.
The last couple of months of spring are the hottest months of the year, but there are many things to do during those months (i.e., beach festivals) and also much cheaper than the high tourist season. Mornings and evenings can be enjoyable and offer activities for people looking for adventure; however, they mostly provide value to the travelers.
Perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Arabian Sea, this 17th-century Portuguese fort stands as Goa's most iconic landmark. The restored lighthouse offers panoramic coastal views, while the ancient fortification walls reveal centuries of maritime history and strategic importance.
This magnificent 16th-century baroque basilica in Old Goa showcases ornate architecture and houses the mortal remains of Saint Francis Xavier. The intricate carvings, golden altars, and spiritual atmosphere make it a must-visit heritage site blending art, history, and faith.
Located on the Karnataka-Goa border, this spectacular 600-meter waterfall cascades dramatically during monsoon season, resembling flowing milk. Adventure trekkers navigate through pristine forest trails to reach the falls' base, offering an exhilarating natural experience and stunning photography opportunities.
Considered one of India's most picturesque beaches, Palolem offers crescent-shaped shores with swaying palms, crystal-clear waters, and peaceful vibes. The beach is perfect for swimming, sunset watching, and enjoying beach shack cuisine while gazing at the tranquil Arabian Sea.
The pulse of North Goa beats strongest at Baga Beach, famous for parasailing, jet-skiing, and vibrant beach shacks serving refreshing cocktails. By day it's an action-packed water sports destination, while evenings transform it into a lively entertainment zone with live performances and beach parties.
Wander through fragrant spice gardens where cardamom, pepper, cinnamon, and nutmeg flourish in lush tropical settings. Knowledgeable guides explain cultivation techniques while offering fresh spice samples and traditional Goan lunch, providing authentic insights into agricultural heritage and culinary traditions.
Serene boat cruises through meandering backwaters reveal Goa's hidden ecological treasures. Glimpse exotic birds, spot crocodiles, and navigate through dense mangrove forests in peaceful silence. Evening cruises feature breathtaking sunsets reflecting on the tranquil waters, creating magical moments away from beaches.
Step back in time exploring Old Goa's magnificent religious monuments including the Cathedral, Church of St. Francis of Assisi, and Convent of Santa Monica. These 16th-century structures showcase intricate Portuguese architecture, ornate interiors, and provide fascinating glimpses into Goa's colonial past and spiritual heritage.

We loved our trip to see South Goa! We were captivated by the beauty of Palolem Beach's crescent shape! Discovery Spice Plantation tour was educational and some of the best Indian food we've ever eaten (one of the best lunches we've had anywhere/) The hotel accommodations were very comfortable, the Heritage Guide provided an excellent education about Portuguese history, and the beaches were so beautiful and peaceful with very few crowds, so we really enjoyed spending quality time as a family there! We're already planning our return trip to visit North Goa next!
The combined North + South Goa package provided us everything we could have asked for! North Goa (Baga Beach) offered us excitement (water sports & nightlife), while South Goa provided many romantic memories. The sunset view from Fort Aguada was magical and made the intimate backwater cruise even more special. Our honeymoon was made special by the luxury accommodations we received. This well-planned package provided us the opportunity to experience both adventure as well as romance all at the same time β and was well worth the investment!
North Goa's water-sports package provided nonstop adrenaline! The water sports instructors were so skilled and experienced β providing excellent training in terms of safety and skill requirements for parasailing & jet skiing. After we completed our activities, we had the opportunity to enjoy an EXCELLENT, FRESH SEAFOOD MEAL at one of the shacks on the beach β all of which were very reasonable in price! The fun we experienced in the nightlife at Baga (the live music & dancing until sunrise) was unbelievable! Based on the total overall price, I would strongly recommend this trip to anyone who is looking for many exciting adventures and opportunities for excitement!
The North Goa historical and heritage aspect of my trip was far beyond what I could have hoped for! The Basilica of Bom Jesus, the Cathedral, as well as the churches of Old Goa, are stunningly beautiful buildings with the most incredible levels of detail in the architectural explanations. In addition, our guide had an extraordinary amount of knowledge about the Portuguese colonization era and the religious aspects of the area surrounding those churches. I can't think of a more perfect combination than to relax at the beach and explore the culture of Goa simultaneously. I felt like I gained great value and learned so much from every place I about my historical interests throughout my time in Goa!
The backwater cruise through the mangrove trees was quickly becoming my "dream come true" as a nature photographer! I saw so many different species of birds, monitor lizards, and crocodiles all in their natural habitat. The spice plantation tour had some of the most beautiful and vibrant landscapes that made amazing photos. The evening sunset cruise offered golden hour photography at its best! Our guide did a fantastic job identifying plants and animals throughout the trip. The South Goa itinerary was a perfect blend of relaxation and a once-in-a-lifetime wildlife and landscape photography experience!
This package made me feel totally safe and fulfilled as a solo traveler in Goa! The South Goa route had great, serene, and quiet beaches, which fit my priorities perfectly, and I made great connections with many of the other travelers while doing group activities. With budget-friendly pricing, I could spend many more hours at the beach without being constrained by my budget. Going to the heritage sites added cultural depth to my trip, and I ended up loving the beach shacks that I visited.
